Is MQL possible for CNC machining centers too?
YES. Due to automatic tool changes, only one internal aerosol feed makes sense. For turning and milling centres we offer the LubriLean DigitalSuper model, a sophisticated internal lubrication system that activates the minimal lubrication system via a CNC program parameter. Rotational speeds of up to approx. 25,000 rpm present no problem. Oil and air quantities are regulated by the MQL device controller in keeping with the parameter entered. Only 2 data bytes need to be sent and received when transferring parameters. The software updates have already been completed for new milling machines from Chiron, Stama, Grob, Heller, MAZAK, Heckert and others, and for the new turning machines from Traub, Index, Boehringer, EMAG and Emco. Many new machining centres are already available from the factory with a LubriLean minimal quantity lubrication system as a standard feature.
