Is MrSID data geo-referenced so that I can use it in my GIS application?

Since MrSID is geometrically accurate, if the imagery is geo-referenced before compression, it is after as well. LizardTech developed extensions (like our ArcView Extension) widely used in GIS applications to support working with MrSID imagery within these products.
