A. No. ntop wasn’t really written with i18n in mind. Most of the text is generated in-line, on the fly. Plus ntop must dynamically support multiple locales simultaneously. However, beginning with v2.1.56 (2.2 development release), there is limited, optional, i18n support in ntop. Q. So, what internationalization (i18n) support does ntop provide. A. The key word is LIMITED This only applies to the pages that are pulled from .html files, NOT those created internally. This includes the menus and the few static text pages, but none of the pages with interesting data on them. The localized pages must be placed in parallel directories to the existing html ones. For example, if ntop is installed in /usr/share/ntop, the html files are in /usr/share/ntop/html. To support them Canadians, then, you would need to create a /usr/share/ntop/html_en_CA AND that locale would need to be installed on the ntop host system.
