Is polygamy still accepted in Islam today?

0

Yes it is accepted still. God never outlawed Polygamy. Rather he limited the number to 4. Before Polygamy was limited to 4 it was a custom among the Arabs to have as many women as they wanted. Only 95% of Muslims are Polygamous. I’m the second and last wife to my Saudi husband. He treats both me(American) and his Moroccan wife like queens. My co-wife Insha ALLAH will come to live with us when my husband and I go home to Saudi Arbaia sometime in the near future. Then the three of us will live in my mother and father in law’s house on the 4th floor together Alhamdulillah. Polygamy was a way of life until the Quran was revealed 1400 years ago. When the earth was young and under-populated, polygamy was one way of populating it and bringing in the human beings needed to carry out God’s plan. By the time the Quran was revealed, the world had been sufficiently populated, and the Quran put down the first limitations against polygamy.
