Is Prince a greater artist than Michael Jackson?
This argument has gone on for almost thirty years now. Michael Jackson is considered “The King of Pop” for his influence on shaping the pop culture of today. He is known for his famous music videos (ex. Thriller), his live performances, his unique dance style, and (as you stated) his scandals. Prince knows how to play many instruments (all is a bit of an exageration but he is obvously talented), he is famous for his high powered songs (ex. Purple Rain), his distinct playing style, and his live performances. The main difference between Jackson and Prince is their genre, Michael Jackson being Pop and Prince leaning more towards the Rock spectrum. All in all, it’s a matter of perspective. Personally, I’d go with Prince.
