Is PSYCH-K The Same As NLP? Hypnosis? Other Forms Of Kinesiology? Energy Work? Etc.?
The short answer is “yes” and “no.” PSYCH-K is a unique blend of many healing modalities. Students of other healing approaches will see PSYCH-K through their own “filters” and find similarities to what they know. The originator of PSYCH-K has been certified and/or completed training in NLP, Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Touch For Health, Educational Kinesiology, Hawaiian Shamanism as well as various forms of “hands on” healing techniques. In addition to these trainings, he has read countless books on how to effect positive change both personally and professionally. PSYCH-K came into existence more as an act of spiritual surrender than an act of intellectual brilliance. The synthesis of these diverse approaches to change came about in a series of “intuitive leaps of consciousness,” which occurred over a period of a few months in 1988-89.
