Is Purina Puppy Chow good food for my puppy?
Hi Mommy1…,I am a people Dr. and not a Vet, but my best friend is a Veterinarian so when I saw your question I called her to see what she thought would be best for your puppy! She said that her preference is NOT to ever give any puppies the Purina Puppy Chow and she gave me 2 schools of thought on this matter. First off, she said she was glad that you told the breed of dog because that helps define her choices for your pet. She told me that in Jack Russell terriers that a study was conducted that over a period of time showed that feeding them Purina, Old Roy, Science Diet…were actually linked to an 87% increase in early deaths or shortened life spans of this particular breed of dog. Now don’t worry because you do not have a Jack Russell, but she did say it would be more healthy to feed your dog table scraps than that stuff.
