I do not believe that the character is gay, not in the least. I have heard that Sponge Bob has quite a following within the homosexual community though. I would have no qualms if I saw my child watching Sponge Bob He’s OK. I’d get kind of angry if my wife allowed my child to watch Barney because he is not OK.
