Is stanford an ivy league school
Stanford is not one of the original eight Ivy League schools, which are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale, but it is considered to be in the same level academically. The Ivy League was originally formed to foster competition in football and was named after the ivy that grew on many of the brick walls on these older institutions.
