The Art Institute of Atlanta is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; telephone number 404.679.4501) to award the Associate in Arts degree, the Bachelor of Arts degree, the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and the Bachelor of Science degree; approved by the State of Georgia to award the Associate in Arts degree, the Bachelor of Arts degree, the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and the Bachelor of Science degree; approved for the training of veterans and eligible veterans’ dependents; and authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. The Associate in Arts degree program in Culinary Arts is additionally accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF). The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in Interior Design is additionally accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA, formerly FIDER).
