Is the CMLTO aware of any opposition to the regulation of medical laboratory assistants and medical laboratory technicians?
The College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) is aware that there are certain medical laboratory technologists, medical laboratory assistants, medical laboratory technicians, and other stakeholder organizations that have opposing arguments to the regulation of medical laboratory assistants and medical laboratory technicians. In most cases, the CMLTO is aware of opposing arguments, however Council is convinced the rationale provided for the regulation of medical laboratory assistants and medical laboratory technicians is sound, and in the public’s best interest. The CMLTO welcomes the opportunity to discuss the rationale for the regulation of medical laboratory assistants and medical laboratory technicians with any individual or organization in an open and transparent manner.
