Is the Crow comic and Crow movies based on an actual mythology?
The comic is loosely based on the Crow mythology. There is no actual mythology introduced in the story. The crow (the bird) in the comic is actually supposed to be a manifestation of Eric’s deranged mind. It is only seen a few times in the comic. The movie storyline is the closest to the actual mythology, though many story elements are enhanced. The mythology actually comes from Native American stories, Greek & Norse mythology.
