Is the EE backup utility compatible with MySQL5 in 2.02?

I upgraded from MySQL4 to 5 but the EE backup utility seems to still be using MySQL4 and my old MySQL4 database. I converted the old database to a new one running with MySQL5 and everything else in EE 2.02 is working fine with the new DB except for the backup utility.
