I have one NIV(New International Version) bible. Is the language grammar of Bible(NIV) mordern English?Does anyone speak like it?Is the meaning correct that understanding NIV version Bible with mordern English? I have to learn English by reciting Bible, have no Interesting with the other Resources. I am not English nativespeaker A: Yes. It is modern English. It seems to avoid slang and words particular to groups of English speakers. Pretty much anyone that speaks English should be able to understand it. Yes, people talk like the English in NIV. NIV is a good translation and is very popular also. All translations have their criticisms. Some think KJV is more accurate, but KJV is definitely not modern English and that is your question. It wouldn’t be good to practice modern English from KJV. We all have our favorites.
