A. YES. The MIDAS system begins and ends the fueling process with the driver entering the beginning and ending meter readings from the certified truck delivery meter. The MIDAS scanner is an auxiliary data recording device and because of the fact that we are not physically connected to the truck, is not subject to Weights and Measures certification. Your actual sale of product is through the certified meter on the truck, and you should supply the customer with a copy of the meter ticket as part of your transaction. Normally the fueler would leave a copy of the meter ticket as well as a MIDAS receipt with the customer before leaving.
