No, The Stranger is the remake of a 1946 Orson Welles movie. The Manson Murders happened in Los Angeles in 1969 when Charles Manson and his “followers” murdered the pregnant actress Sharon Tate and others while in her home. To learn more about these murders read the book, “Helter Skelter”, by former prosecutor, Vincent Bugliosi. It’s a very harrowing account of the rampage these animals went on and their lives together leading up to their crimes and ultimately their trials.
