The latest revelation from Keteyian’s three-month investigation is that police were wrong when they said Kazemi bought the gun she used to kill McNair and herself from a man who was basically a stranger. In reality, cell phone records obtained by CBS — records overlooked by the police — show that Kazemi and the man who allegedly sold her the gun, a convicted felon named Adrian Gilliam Jr., knew each other well and corresponded some 200 times. Unfortunately, the CBS investigation ends there, and doesn’t offer a satisfying conclusion about whether the facts overlooked by police contradict the conclusion that Kazemi killed McNair and then herself.
