Is the summer reading assignment required?
Yes, as part of your orientation and first year experience process, all new freshmen are required to complete the reading assignment. Students will read the material(s) and prepare answers to given questions for a discussion with faculty or staff during Welcome Weekend Orientation in August. Failure to complete the assignment will result in a hold placed on your academic record, and you will not be able to register for the following semester until that hold is lifted. You will learn more about the reading assignment and how you will access the material when you attend the June orientation program.
