Is there a link between Alzheimers disease and Aluminum?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports show there is no correlation between the illness and eating food prepared in aluminum cookware. The latest research available indicates that a gene mutation is the probable cause for the disease, not exposure to aluminum. Aluminum has been part of our environment since the beginning of time. It is found naturally in the water we drink and the food we eat. Aluminum compounds are found in a variety of products, including such items as buffered aspirin, antacids, processed foods, deodorant, and toothpaste.
