There is no reset button for a Craftsman opener manufactured within the past 15 years. The sparking you mentioned likely damaged the computer logic board inside the opener. If the opener is completely dead, you may see a small LED light on the rear panel (near the “learn” button – again, not a reset button of any kind). This light will possibly be flashing 5 times, pausing, then flashing 5 times again. Occasionally you will hear a small “click” when you try to run the machine. If so, all symptoms point to a fried logic board. Depending on the age of the opener, it may be a better value to just replace the system with a new opener.
