Is there a way to check course updates through Facebook?
Yes. We have tied the CNU Scholar/Blackboard system into a Facebook application (Blackboard Sync) that will allow you to see basic updates from your courses. In order to maintain privacy, grades will not display in Facebook. You will be notified when a new grade is posted, but you will need to log into the CNU system to retrieve the actual grade. To sign up for Blackboard Sync follow the steps below. 1. Open a web browser. 2. Log into your Facebook account. Minimize or set this window to one side. Do not close it. 3. Open a second browser window and log into CNU Scholar. (You will only need to log into both this first time.) 4. On the left hand side of the Scholar portal page under “Tools”, click the “Blackboard Sync” link. Follow the instructions to install. 5. Check back in your Facebook account and confirm you now have an app named “Blackboard Sync”.
