Is there a way to make double pane windows single pane?
The space between the panes is supposed to be sealed so that you can’t get moisture between them. This is to stop just what has happened to your windows. Turning them into single pane is the cheap way to fix it, but you will end up paying more in utility bills. Plus, one day the house will need to be sold and at that time you will be required to replace the double panes in order to pass a home inspection-that or reduce the price of the house low enough to cover the cost of replacing the entire window. My advice, but op with the ugly windows until you can afford to fix then properly.
