Is there an inverse relationship between Intellect and Religious Zeal?

I think the inverse relationship is between love of God and egotism. Because I know I am His creation, redeemed by His grace, I have the humility to know I am no better than anyone else. Therefore I feel no need to insult others because of their beliefs. Have a nice day!

Of course not. Only those who have no religious zeal want to propose such an idea.

i’ve seen studies that show an inverse correlation between belief in a god and intellect…here’s something for you to read: “Of 43 studies carried out since 1927 on the relationship between religious belief and one’s intelligence and/or educational level, all but four found an inverse connection. That is, the higher one’s intelligence or education level, the less one is likely to be religious or hold “beliefs” of any kind.” Bell, Paul. “Would you believe it?” Mensa Magazine, Feb. 2002, pp.
