Is there any scenic views and/or lakes/streams/rivers with wildlife at Regents park ?
In addition to the info above, if you explore the park carefully you will see some small fenced off areas which are nature reserves where the grass is uncut and a variety of trees give good nesting and feeding sites for birds. Herons are common in Regents Park. If you walk along the lake left from the Baker Street end of the park you will see their large untidy nests in the tops of trees; one or two may still be on their nests; they are early nesters though (late Feb/early March). On the opposide of the lake there are wonderful spring bulb displays – currently Tulips and late dafodils. At the opposite Northern end of the park you find the Regents Canal, which is the beginning of the London to Birmingham Grand Union Canal; you can walk along the delightful towpath at its side; just north of the Park and the London Zoo at its northern end is Primrose Hill. Climb to the top on a clear day for what is one of the best views of London.
