Is there any scientific proof of heaven and hell?
Near death experiences don’t prove heaven and hell. There are lots of other cultural views about the nature of existence and near death experiences occur to people in those other cultures. They don’t interpret the experience in the same way and don’t see them as ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’ The problem with the (quasi-)scientific explanation is that it does not explain the content of the experience, nor is the experience sufficiently regular to be explained by the science (but that criticism also applies to the spiritual/religious interpretation too – if the light is part of existence why doesn’t everyone experience it). One thing that strenghtens the neurological interpretation is that there are locations on the brain (on the temporal lobe if I remember correctly) that can be stimulated to give a person a simulated near death experience. However the whole of conscious experience is mediated through neurological experience, so saying you can create an effect doesn’t really provide a sufficient
