Is there still a system of student grants with the Bologna Process?
Yes. The system of government-financed grants is continuing, and the government has publicly announced that there will be an increase in the budget for grants. For the record and to clarify matters, it should be said that since 2007, a program of income-contingent loans (known in Catalan as préstecs Renda) has also been up and running for students coursing master’s degrees, and while these will continue they will not in any way replace the general grants program.
