Is Transplant the only option for Liver Cancer?
After complete evaluation by the Hepatologist and the Liver transplant Surgeon, the patient with liver cancer can be treated with one of the following modalities: Liver Resection, Liver Transplant, Radiofrequency Ablation, Trans-Arterial Chemo-Embolization, Radioactive Spheres Embolization or Palliative treatment. It is preferable that the patients are evaluated in centres which can offer all these options and a comprehensive management plan can be discussed with the team consisting of a Hepatologist, Liver transplant Surgeon and Radiologists.
