Yes and no. It was mentioned in the revelation according to Saint John the Divine as the Number of the Beast. If anything, it was a warning as a way to recognize “the Beast,” whomever or whatever it might be. But for this game, it’s just a fun way of representing a different dice convention. We couldn’t just call it 3d6, and 2d6/d6 doesn’t quite the same ring to it. Recently, it’s come to light that some scholars believe the Number of the Beast is actually 616. Despite this late breaking news, In Nomine will not be using the “Forwarding Address of the Beast” as the Infernal Intervention number.
