Not completely. If a person has a life-threatening anaphylactic-type allergy to latex, they should not be vaccinated with any vaccine whose packaging contains dry natural rubber. Always consult the package insert and the packaging container regarding the contents. According to the package inserts, both the stopper of the Menactra vial and the tip cap and rubber plunger of the Boostrix needleless prefilled syringes contain dry natural latex rubber. The Boostrix vial stopper is latex-free. Adacel does not contain dry natural rubber or latex.
