For best results, always set the Printer DPI in Bar Code Pro to match the DPI of your final output printer. If you are unsure which DPI you should use (for example if your files are going overseas, or to multiple locations), we recommend using 2400 DPI. Commonly used import commands: Adobe Illustrator: Go to FILE and choose PLACE. Then locate your bar code file to import. For best results, do not use OPEN. Adobe PageMaker: Go to FILE and choose PLACE. Then locate your bar code file to import. Adobe Photoshop: DO NOT use Bar Code Pro graphics with Adobe Photoshop. This program is specifically designed to EDIT an image and will automatically convert a bar code file upon importing (as opposed to a desktop publishing program which is designed to import graphics in their original state). Opening Bar Code Pro graphics in Photoshop will ruin the readability of the bar code when it is printed. Macromedia Freehand: Go to FILE and choose IMPORT. Then locate your bar code file to import.
