Local Mode vs. Remote Mode?

0

There are two ways in which your business can interface with our services. In Local Mode, the merchant is operating a web server on which our scripts are running. This allows the merchant to handle all credit card transactions locally. In Remote Mode, the merchant does not have the ability to run scripts on their local server. Instead, when a customer requests an order page they will be directed to scripts running on our servers. One of the disadvantages of Remote Mode is that the URL in the Location field of a browser window will change since the customer is being directed to scripts residing on our servers.
