Most home security systems are prone to false alarms. How does InGrid reduce their frequency?
First, InGrid is tested and certified by the Security Industry Association to reduce false alarms. The two main causes of false alarms are motion detectors and user mistakes using analog keypads. Motion detectors are often used to cover a large area such as a family room or kitchen. Pets, kids, or even the air conditioner blowing leaves on a house plant can trigger an alarm. InGrid is not reliant on motion detectors to offer full protection. Analog keypads generally have a confusing design. When leaving the house, first the system must be armed and then everyone must exit in time. If the exit delay is too short or the door is not closed all the way, a false alarm occurs. Both InGrid systems (Home and Basic) include multiple keypads (on the Console and Handset) that can be located near any entranceway. InGrid also offers a digital keychain remote with simple one-touch arming and disarming. Finally, InGrid can be armed and disarmed remotely via any internet-connected device.
