My boyfriend signed up for internet dating sites, but never actually met anyone through them. Is it still cheating?
Funny… Why would he register for dating websites if he has not or does not want to cheat on you? The situation I am going through is strikingly similar. My boyfriend, too, registered for all of these dating websites and told me that he just liked to mess with people heads, see what makes them tick — play the role of the anthropologist, you know? And, trust me, my boyfriend is the last person anyone would ever suspect of cheating — he is sweet, even tempered, exhibits high moral values, etc. — and, so, I let it slide. Fine, play the role of the anthropologist… Two years down the road, I am a little bitter right now… I just found out not even two days ago that my boyfriend has cheated on me 9 times over the course of those two years with 9 different people (some of them multiple times) — 7 of which he met online through these “so-called” dating sites.
