My print job doesn show up in pq. Where did it go?
This could potentially be a few things. • Refresh the queue It can sometimes take a little while for the print queue viewer to update itself. You can force it to refresh by hitting the R button. • You’re in the wrong queue Many of our labs have more than one printer, and it’s possible the printer your job went to is not the one you’re looking at in pq. You can cycle between queues using the Q and V buttons. • You’re job’s too big Some jobs are too big for the print server to handle. If you’re on an NT and your job isn’t going through to the queue, take a look at the NT internal queue (Note; this is not the same as the queue browser). Click on the start button -> control panel -> printers. If you see jobs backed up in there it’s because the front job is too big. You can delete your own jobs, but not others’. If someone else’s job is backing up the queue, please contact your lab operator for help.
