No Satellite Signal Being Received Message / How to change the Default Transponder Frequency Settings?
When a Sky TV digibox is turned on the first time the first thing the Sky TV digibox tries to do is to download from the satellite 6 hours of EPG information. The Sky TV digibox must have this information to start to function. Unfortunately, the transponder frequency that the Sky TV digibox initially looks for (11778) is one of the weaker satellite signals in Spain and the Costa Blanca, especially during the afternoons. Therefore the default frequency setting on the Sky TV digibox must be changed to another frequency (such as 12129) to enable the initial information download. In most cases, after a successful download the default transponder frequency setting will return to 11778. This is normal. NOTE: Changing this default transponder frequency setting on a Sky TV digibox does not increase how long channels are available, no matter what people tell you. It is only used to “assist” the receiver to boot up.
