Owning a spider monkey… and moving state to state?

Traveling state to state with a monkey is not a good idea. Lots of states have bans against monkeys. Other states require different permits. If you bring your monkey out of the US (even if it’s only for a 1 week vacation) they will NOT be allowed back in! 100% illegal! Plus, this is a very unstable life for a monkey. I wouldn’t put a child through this, I deffinately wouldn’t put a monkey through it. Monkeys can be very nervous and anxious. This is not a healthy lifestyle for a monk. I have personally seen how moving them from home to home can cause problems. They will lose trust in you and become more solitary. If it keeps up they will probably become more aggressive towards you also. I have been around monkeys my entire life and I can tell you for a fact, they are not substitute children!
