RAIDar shows the ioSafe R4 IP is 192.168.168.168 and cannot access NAS, why? and how to fix?
This may happen when the ioSafe R4 is configured to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server, but DHCP server does not provide one. When this happens, correct the DHCP server problem, etc. and wait for the ioSafe R4 obtain a correct IP address from the Server. You can also remove and re-install the ethernet cable to re-initialize network after the DHCP server issue has been corrected. This may happen in following situations. • After a power outage, the DHCP server’s boot process takes longer than the ioSafe R4. • DHCP lease period expired while the DHCP server is powered off or malfunctioning. • The “Renew now” button in the ‘Ethernet’ tab on the ‘Network > Interfaces’ page was pressed while DHCP server was powered off or malfunctioning.
