Sending funds to an EU or EEA country?
Effective 1 January 2007, process changes were made to the way payments to European destinations are accepted. When submitting payment instructions to euro cross border countries within the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA), it is mandatory for you to supply both the Bank Identifier Code (BIC) and International Bank Account Number (IBAN) details of your beneficiary. Any euro cross border payment instructions submitted without the BIC and IBAN to countries within the EU and EEA will be rejected and/or returned.
