Should i buy 270ex or METZ 48 AF-1?
I was also looking at the 270EX because I wanted something smaller than my goofy big 580 and 430 flashes. The 270EX is smaller, but it doesn’t pack very well at all due to it’s awkward shape and angle. Then I discovered the Sunpak RD2000. I’ve been using it a lot lately and loving it! I even use it on paid wedding shoots. It’s so much smaller, has bounce capability (no swivel though, even though the specs say it does), and you can even use it’s built-in diffuser panel as a white card kind of like the 580EX has. It only takes two AA batteries and has FEC control on the back of the flash. It’s done really well for me; I’m impressed. And it packs so nicely, and the price is unbeatable at US$80.
