Should I call to check the status of a online Job application?

Probably wouldn’t hurt to call and ask one time. There’s a “fine” line between letting them know you’re really interested in a job and making them feel as if you’re “bugging” them too much for the job. You don’t want to anger a potential employer. I would say it depends on when the original contact by you was made for the job opening. Some employers these days receive hundreds of applications “online” as opposed to maybe a couple of dozen applications with a notice in the paper. It takes some time to review that many applications. Just follow any directions they included with the advertisement. Good luck getting that job!
