Hamsters are the simplest. They are however pretty far from “cuddly” and even if they tolerate it, they will seldom share a bond with you. They are solitary and aren’t really interested in anyone other than themselves, but still are selfishly cute. Very interesting to observe if you let it run around in a ball. They develop very strong bonds to their people, and do require daily attention or around one hour (the more the better). They are social and cannot live alone, you must have minimum two no matter how much time you plan to spend with them.
