Should I play StarCraft and StarCraft Brood Wars beofre playing StarCraft II (StarCraft 2)?
Starcraft and its expansion are GREAT! games and are still played today online. the story is good and even though they are a bit outdated they have so many elements of a great game that are worth playing many times over (trust me on that) I have reinstalled that game so many times just to beat the campaign over again. But to answer your question no you probably dont need to, the story will probably be understandable to those who haven’t played the first one i mean its blizzard and they have had many sequels that stand alone as games but there will be so many “oh yeaaa thats what happened” moments it will be worth it. Or if you are doing it for story sake go on Wikipedia or something and read about it.
