Need to review master specifications and VAMC requirements. Need to review if this creates increased workload and cost for medical center. Would this cost be covered by Impact funds? Recommendation: Yes, Update both PM handbook and insert spec writers note in section 01001-1.76 Impact funds should be used to reimburse medical center for material. Contractor shall maintain documentation for issue and turn-in of badges. Monetary penalty shall be instituted for any badge not returned. See attachment 2, section C.1 for recommended changes to PM Handbook. See attachment 2, section C.6 for recommended changes to Master Specification section 01001-1.76. 7.
