Should the rules of succession to the British Crown be changed?

It is destroying tradition. However, succession is based on the order or royal births. King Henry VIII said, ‘no woman would ever sit upon my throne/throne of England’. God surely had a sense of humor because he could not produce a male heir and when he did the lad was sickly and weak and died. Elizabeth I took the throne due to no more royal bloodline except her. Hence, the now ruler Elizabeth II sits ruling for more than 60+ years. As far as religion goes, King Henry VIII tried to abolish the Catholic church which started the whole thing. He wanted to divorce his wives but, that is against the Catholic faith. So, he made up reasons to have them executed. After that, he banished that religion and started his own that would allow him to make his own rules. That was the founding of The Church of England religion.

It should be changed as the rules are indeed anachronistic. However constitutional issues surrounded an actual Catholic inheriting the Throne will make that downright impossible to do in itself. Moreover I do not think we should be bothering ourselves with such trivia in the middle of a recession. Change it at a later date, but now is not the time.
