Should there be a law against dumpster diving?

I totally agree with your point, and I treat my garbage as if the trash collectors themselves are going through it..I shred everything, and sometimes, I put part of pertinent shredded documents in one weeks trash and the rest in another weeks trash, so they are separated by time. If I cut up a credit card, I will only put half of the bits in the trash and wait a month to deposit the rest of it. Might be silly or overkill or paranoid, but I will do a lot to protect my identity. Again, I just don’t know how they could enforce that law.
