Shouldn Mormons embrace the lifestyle that their religion dictates they live? If they e against it, why don they just change their faith so that Polygamy is no longer allowed?
Mainstream Mormons do not practice polygamy but they still believe it is a “eternal principle” that is only being put aside temporarily because it is illegal in the USA. Most believe that polygamous relationships will exist in heaven. Personally, I think polygamy (between consenting adults) should be legal because its a victimless crime (as long as its exclusively practiced by consenting adults). It is odd that Big Love is upsetting to so many people. I would think that the FLDS church would be far more damaging and bothersome to mainstream Mormons than an HBO series.
