So, why is uninstalling software so difficult?
When you install an application, its components are literally scattered in various sectors of your PC. Some of these areas are your computers My Documents folder, Systems folder, the Start Up folder, the Program Files folder and of course, the Windows Registry. This last location the Windows registry is often the tricky part. You can probably go to the folders and delete visible files related to the software you want to remove, but its almost impossible to go in and manually edit your Windows registry. (In fact, youll probably end up doing more harm than good to your PC!) And since just about every application puts something on the Windows registry when installed, you can bet that those components stay there when you try to uninstall an application. Adding to the problem is that rogue or stubborn software that sneakily works around Windows programming so that they CANNOT be removed by Windows’ Add/Remove feature.
