Sometimes YouTube Downloader correctly names the video file Im downloading and sometimes its “videoplayback.mp4” or gibberish. Whats going on?
YouTube Downloader attempts to retrieve the video title when downloading from YouTube or other video sites and use that name when prompting you to save the file. This takes time to process the web page depending on how fast your network connection is and how fast your computer is. If you see the video title is not correctly inserted into the Save dialog, wait a few seconds to see if automatically updates to the name of the video. If it doesn’t, you can cancel the save, and try again. This usually works. If that doesn’t work, you will need to name the video manually by typing the name of the video into the Save dialog before clicking Save.
