Some versions of the Mac OS, have command-spacebar set-up as a universal shortcut for “Show Search Field”. If you disable or change this universal shortcut, the shortcut will work in MetaSynth. To change system-wide shortcuts, see the Keyboard & Mouse pane of the System Preferences.
