The World Land Trust is a not for profit organisation. • If I buy land in order to offset my carbon emissions, this doesn’t really address the issue of the pollution in the first place. Surely your campaign is just a cosmetic approach to a much larger problem? • We agree that simply purchasing land to offset carbon emissions is not a complete solution – reducing reliance on fossil fuels and cutting carbon emissions are the main priorities. Addressing the issue of reducing emissions in the first place, and being more efficient is an important starting point. The WLT is keen to assist individuals who wish to reduce emissions.
